A young person with alcohol intoxication arrives at your department
If a young person suspected to be suffering from alcohol intoxication arrives at the emergency ward, the ‘ABC’ principle should be applied before proceeding with further treatment; see the protocol of the 'prevention of alcohol-related health problems in young people' project. If possible, this form should be filled out at the emergency ward and faxed to the closest Youth & Alcohol polyclinic (see participating hospitals). Otherwise it must be filled in at the children’s ward and faxed to the nearest Youth & Alcohol polyclinic.
